Bringing the summer games back to Los Angeles.
Agency: Everwild
Role: Design Lead / Senior Art Director
Challenge
Midway through Los Angeles' Olympic and Paralympic bid campaign, the existing identity no longer provided the flexibility needed to support a growing communications effort. As new audiences, partners, and campaign initiatives emerged, the visual system struggled to scale consistently across hundreds of applications while maintaining a unified voice.
Approach
Working within the established logo and color palette, the team at Everwild (formerly NORTH) reimagined the campaign's visual language as a flexible brand system rather than a collection of individual assets. Every element was designed to adapt across print, digital, environmental, and experiential touchpoints while remaining immediately recognizable as part of a single campaign. The system was codified in a comprehensive brand guide that established design principles, standards, and implementation guidance, enabling teams to execute consistently under tight deadlines.
Impact
The refreshed visual system became the foundation for the remainder of the bid campaign, bringing clarity, consistency, and scalability to a fast-moving body of work. The system was deployed across the official bid book, advertising, campaign collateral, presentations, environmental graphics, and large-scale digital installations at 15 of Los Angeles' most recognizable landmarks and venues—helping present a cohesive vision for the city's successful Olympic and Paralympic bid.
